Jsem filosof vědy a specificky se zaměřuji se na koncepční otázky v imunologii. V současné době se mé výzkumné zájmy týkají konceptu tolerance onemocnění a interakcí mezi imunitním systémem a jinými fyziologickými systémy. Provozuji platformu Prague Meetings in Philosophy of Science pro pořádání akcí o biomedicínském výzkumu a filosofii vědy. Za svůj výzkum jsem v roce 2023 obdržel cenu Akademie věd ČR za vynikající výsledky a v roce 2024 Prémii Otto Wichterleho. Ve své disertační práci obhájené v roce 2021 jsem se zabýval povahou vědeckého modelování v kontextu koncepčního a experimentálního výzkumu v nádorové imunologii. Mezi mé další výzkumné zájmy patří také tradičnější filosofické debaty o (biologických) mechanismech, vědeckém porozumění, naturalismu a scientismu.
Jsem zastáncem filozofie, která je relevantní a úzce spojená s vědeckou praxí. Na toto téma jsem také odpovídal v různých médiích, např.: vědavýzkum.cz, ČRo Plus, Filosofický podcast.
